Fellows: Everything About Our ALCs

Fellows: Everything About Our ALCs

Your Learning Hub for Hands-On Training & Mentorship

Applied Learning Clusters (ALCs) are physical learning centers set up across Nigeria to provide hands-on training, mentorship, and community support for 3MTT fellows. If you are assigned to an ALC, this guide will help you understand how it works and how to make the most of it.

1. What Are ALCs?

ALCs are designed to complement online learning by offering:
✅ Physical learning spaces with internet access and devices.
✅ Guided mentorship from experienced facilitators.
✅ Project-based learning and real-world applications.
✅ Networking opportunities with fellow learners.

2. What Happens at an ALC?

Fellows attending ALCs will:
🎯 Work on projects and assignments.
🎯 Attend mentorship sessions.
🎯 Collaborate with peers to solve technical challenges.
🎯 Participate in hackathons and innovation challenges.

📌 Attendance at ALCs is optional, but active participation improves your learning experience and helps you complete your training faster.

3. How Are Fellows Assigned to ALCs?

Fellows are assigned based on:
📌 Location: You’ll be placed in an ALC near your residence (if available).
📌 Learning Track Availability: ALCs specialize in different technical courses.
📌 Capacity: Each ALC has a limited number of seats, so early engagement is key.

4. ALC Performance & Fellow Success

ALCs focus on outcomes, not just attendance. Their success is measured by:
📊 The number of fellows who complete learning milestones.
📊 The quality of projects and assessments submitted.
📊 How many fellows secure job placements, internships, or externships.

5. Making the Most of Your ALC Experience

To get the best from your ALC:
✔ Engage actively in mentorship and peer discussions.
✔ Complete projects and assignments on time.
✔ Leverage networking opportunities to connect with industry experts.
✔ Follow community guidelines to ensure a smooth learning experience.

6. No ALC? Join a Peer Learning Group!

If there’s no ALC in your area, don’t worry! You’ll be assigned to a Peer Learning Group (PLG) where you can:
🤝 Collaborate with other fellows online.
🎯 Get support from Peer Leaders & Community Volunteers.
📢 Attend virtual learning sessions and group discussions.

7. Need Help? Contact Support
