Peer-to-Peer Led Model

Peer-to-Peer Led Model

Peer to peer led model is for fellows in LGAs without ALCs, this model leverages collaborative, project-based learning and periodic meetups to ensure equitable access to learning resources and community support at clusters called PLCs.

1.1 Purpose of the Guidelines

These guidelines aim to create a respectful and productive environment for all fellows participating in the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) learning model. They outline how fellows, Peer Leads, and Community Managers (CMs) should engage with one another to optimize learning outcomes and maintain a safe space.

1.2 Group Formation and Engagement

  • Group Size & Composition: Each Peer Group comprises 4–10 members, generally aligned by skill track and/or geographic proximity. Members are expected to participate actively in group discussions and activities.

  • Peer Leads: Every Peer Group designates one Peer Lead responsible for:

    • Scheduling and moderating group meetings (virtually or in community hubs).

    • Tracking attendance and engagement.

    • Communicating group updates and concerns to the Community Managers (CMs).

  • Regular Interactions: Groups should hold regular virtual meetups (e.g., weekly or biweekly) to discuss progress, share resources, and solve problems collaboratively.

1.3 Communication and Collaboration

  • Respectful Dialogue: Maintain polite and constructive communication within your group chats, video calls, and discussion forums. Harassment, bullying, or hate speech is strictly prohibited.

  • Inclusivity: Encourage participation from every group member, ensuring all voices are heard and respected.

  • Sharing of Resources: Fellows are encouraged to share materials, insights, and best practices to aid the group’s collective learning. Always cite or acknowledge external sources.

1.4 Safety and Well-being

  • Virtual Interactions: All official P2P learning activities occur online or in approved community centres (if applicable). Avoid sharing private contact information (e.g., personal phone numbers, home addresses).

  • Data Privacy: Respect the confidentiality of any personal or sensitive information shared within the group. Do not repost or forward confidential messages or files to external parties without consent.

  • Reporting Misconduct: If you experience or witness any harassment, inappropriate behaviour, or activities violating these guidelines, report it immediately to your Peer Lead and Community Manager.

1.5 Accountability and Progress Tracking

  • Individual Responsibility: Each fellow is responsible for completing assigned tasks, attending group sessions, and submitting work on time.

  • Peer Lead Reporting: Peer Leads submit periodic reports on attendance, milestones, and areas needing support.

  • Feedback and Improvement: Fellows should participate in surveys and feedback sessions to help the 3MTT team improve the overall experience.

1.6 Conflict Resolution

  • Open Dialogue: Attempt to resolve disputes within the group through open, respectful discussion.

  • CM Intervention: If disagreements persist or escalate, involve your Community Manager for mediation or further guidance.

  • Escalation Procedures: Any serious issues related to safety, harassment, or misconduct should be escalated immediately to the 3MTT team or designated support channels.
